What is a hard-bottom dog back seat extender?
A hard-bottom dog back seat extender is a rear-seat travel accessory that creates a supported surface over the rear footwell. Unlike a soft hammock, its rigid base changes how that otherwise unused space can be used by your dog.
How is it different from a dog car hammock?
A soft dog car hammock mainly covers and protects the seat area. A hard-bottom extender also uses a supported rigid base over the footwell, creating a different rear-seat layout. Which setup is better depends on the problem you are trying to solve.
Will Kynotra fit every car?
No. We do not use a blanket “universal fit” promise. Vehicle interiors differ, so fit should be checked using the verified product dimensions and your own rear-seat measurements. See our Vehicle Fit Guide.
What should I measure before buying?
Measure your usable rear-seat width, usable depth and footwell area, then compare those measurements with the verified Kynotra product dimensions once the final SKU is confirmed.
Is Kynotra suitable for large dogs?
Suitability depends on your dog, your vehicle layout and the verified product dimensions. We recommend checking the measurements rather than relying only on labels such as “large dog”.
How much weight can the hard bottom support?
We only publish a load capacity if it has been verified for the exact final product. We will not use unsupported 400 lb, 500 lb or similar claims. Any confirmed specification will appear in the Verified Product Information section of the product page.
Is Kynotra crash tested?
Kynotra is not represented as a crash-safety device or restraint system. Use an appropriate dog restraint and follow safe vehicle-travel practices.
Why choose a hard-bottom extender instead of a basic seat cover?
Choose based on the problem you need to solve. If basic seat coverage is enough, a standard cover or hammock may be sufficient. If you want to make the rear footwell part of the usable dog area, compare the construction and fit of a hard-bottom extender.
Can I use Kynotra with two dogs?
That depends on the dogs, your vehicle layout and the verified product dimensions. We do not make a blanket two-dog capacity promise. Use the dimensions and real-world examples to assess your setup.
Can a passenger still sit in the back seat?
That depends on the final product configuration. We will only show split, fold or passenger configurations that the exact final SKU genuinely supports.
Is the material waterproof?
Material and water-resistance claims will only be published after they are verified for the final SKU. Check the product page and Product Care page for the confirmed specification.
How long does US delivery take?
The initial launch is focused on the United States. The current processing time and delivery estimate will be shown on the product page and Shipping & Delivery page before checkout.
Where is Kynotra shipped from?
The live Shipping & Delivery information will reflect the actual fulfillment route for the final product. We will not describe stock as US-based unless that is genuinely the fulfillment method being used.
